Dirty Dog Martini
Ingredients
- Gin, the recipe names Neversink Spirits45 ml
- Dill aquavit, do not automatically substitute generic aquavit15 ml
- , spice-infused dry vermouth; see the preparation15 ml
- Blanc vermouth, such as Dolin blanc, not dry vermouth15 ml
- Bay leaf bitters, such as Matchbook Distilling Co.; not a bay leaf2 dashes
- , 80 ml water and 20 g non-iodized salt; one dash, not one drop1 dash
- Ice, for stirring only; serve without ice
Garnish
One pickled cherry tomato on a cocktail pick

Method
- Add the gin, dill aquavit, Dog Water vermouth, blanc vermouth, bay leaf bitters and saline solution to a mixing glass.
- Fill with ice and stir until well chilled.
- Strain into a chilled Martini glass, leaving the ice behind.
- Garnish with one pickled cherry tomato on a cocktail pick.
About
A savory, herbal Martini with dill aquavit, two vermouths and bay leaf bitters. Dog Water vermouth is infused with nutmeg, onion, coriander and cumin. A pickled tomato finishes the drink. This presentation uses a classic Martini glass; the book specifies a Nick & Nora.
