Honey syrup (1:1)

Honey syrup (1:1)

Straight honey doesn't blend well into a cold drink. Thinned with water, it mixes in smooth, the same way sugar syrup does.

Ingredients

  • Honey340 g
  • Water240 ml

Method

  1. The ratio is 1:1 by volume: 240 ml honey to 240 ml water. The 340 g of honey below is an approximate conversion; density varies.
  2. Combine the honey and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, and stir until the honey fully dissolves. It doesn't need to boil.
  3. Take it off the heat, let it cool to room temperature before using it, and keep it in a tightly sealed bottle or jar.

Yield

Makes about 500 ml

Keeps

Tightly sealed in the fridge, it lasts up to 1 month
